Nine to Five

My person and I helped out at a recent dog show sponsored by the Danish Kennel Association. We stood at the Kids and Dogs stand and handed out flyers about the Kids and Dogs educational program. We saw lots of doggies -- all shapes and sizes. I was tired when we got home.

My friend Frida and I do a lot of waiting. We wait for our walk. We wait for our dinner. We wait for our persons to wake up. We wait for something to fall on the floor, or someone to come in the door. But all that waiting eventually pays off.

Today Frida and I took TWO long walks and had a great time meeting other doggies and jumping in mud holes. We each had our own tennis ball though Frida is very good at holding two tennis balls in her mouth at once. That's why I have to be quick and fetch my tennis ball first!

Frida is visiting us this week while her persons are on vacation somewhere sunny and warm. I have "escaped" to another part of my house while Frida enjoys her new role as "executive assistant to chief of operations".

Lots of persons running around in my garden yesterday afternoon - playing ball, eating and jumping around. Lucky for me there were lots of opportunities to sniff out crumbs and food droppings!

Dog Days

I can't complain about the weather these days - warm and sunny. This is me on a recent walk around a lake nearby - a "new" place - with my girlfriend, Frida. There were lots of great smells and plenty of opportunities to jump in the water for a quick dip.

This weekend we had a visitor. Ive seen her before but now she's bigger and noisier! When she's in the house all I hear is the word sit! So I sit. I guess this is what they call babysitting.

A First-Prize Beginner

I'm quite satisfied with my performance today if I do say so myself!

The Thrill of Victory

And they said it couldn't be done! Today my person (a family person) and I (a family dog) won our very first first-prize at a C-field trial for doggies like me. Lucky for us there were no birdies and no water -- just dummies (some with fur), which are my speciality.

My person was very nervous - so nervous that when it was time to walk off-lead from one disipline to the other she kept telling me to heel even though I was heeling just fine. It's a good thing my person isn't a hunter because she would scare all the birds and rabbits away with her -- how-can-I-put-it -- rather loud commands. I must say I was a bit embarrassed. But since we won first prize I think I can forgive her this once.

All in All a Happy Holiday
The new year is here and what better time to look back on the last few weeks where we had many visitors and lots of activities. Frida was the big news during our Christmas. There has never been a friendlier doggie visiting us! Frida won the hearts of everyone in the house. Now it's back to normal. Happy New Year!

Happy Holidays with Family and Friend

I am enjoying the holidays with my family and friend, Frida. She is staying with us this Christmas and has made the holiday time extra special with her friendly and curious personality. It's been a tail-wagging good time for us all!

Road Trip

A Good Time Was Had By All

Today was D-Day or Dummy day - a dummy-day field trial where Frida and my other good training buddies could show our stuff. It was windy, wet and cold but the company was warm and friendly.

The field trial wasn't easy - even if it was for beginners like me. Nobody said anything about retrieving furry dummies! And, since I was one of the very last doggies to be tested, the fur on the dummies was all wet and sticky from all the other doggies. Yuck!

We were also judged on our looks. The judge liked my head but thought my back legs were a bit too skinny. Picky, picky, picky.

Bundle of Joy

Why it's a person! They call her Marie and she sure smells good!

Mini Person
Yesterday we had visitors and they brought along a little wiggly bundle. At first I thought it was a puppy, like me. Then I thought (feared) it might be another Tiger-kitty. But it made funny noises and didn't smell like a doggie or a kitty. It turned out to be a little person and her name is Marie. They call her a baby and everyone made a big fuss over her. She smells good - there's no doubt about that. But I don't know what all the fuss is about.
